The 56th Annual Kingsbury Country Fair will be Sunday, June 3, 2011. Mark your calendars NOW for more family fun in the sun! Meet Kingsbury families from six decades - and renew the remarkable feeling of community....like no other place on earth!
Known area-wide for fabulous food, fun for all ages, and great entertainment, the fair features the best of our old-fashioned fair activities.
The most visible continuing tradition is the raffle of a hand-made quilt -- for more than 50 years, members of the community have blended their craftsmanship into a magnificent remembrance of the Kingsbury fair.
Inflatables, slides and activities are fun for all ages! Climb the 35 foot rock wall, slide, scurry, crawl and jump through a wide range of "too much fun" inflatable attractions. Join the crowd at the pie throwing booth to splatter coaches, teachers or administrators. Get your face painted, your cheeks, arms or ankles tattooed (temporarily) and your hair "decorated" -- all at the fair.
Area restaurants will compete to see who has the best ribs in the area – you get to help decide.
We’ll have some traditional carnival foods – hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, etc. – for those who aren’t interested in ribs as well as some vegetarian options. There’s something for everyone!
We can't have a fair without Kingsbury's famous recipe strawberry shortcake. It's always the fair favorite!
Join in the fun, do the musical "bake walk" or just stop by to purchase some home made goodies created by our phenomenal parents and alum mums.
There will be a wonderful selection of things that you "just can't live without."
Coming from all over southeast Michigan, the Kingsbury Country Fair artisans represent all disciplines - highlight for each year is the Diebboll family, renowned potters from Washington, Michigan.
Garden shops with beautiful hanging baskets, planters, etc. are a highlight of the shopping area.
Place your bets, folks, if you own the square on the grid where the chicken poops first when she is set loose into the pen -- you win $$$!
