Middle School Advisories

Every middle school student at Kingsbury Country Day School is part of an advisory group. All advisory groups, besides the 5th grade, are multi-aged to encourage the development of relationships between all middle school students. Advisory groups are lead by a faculty member who becomes an advocate for each of his/her advisory group members. Advisors are also a link between school and home for both parents and students. Each student connects daily with his or her advisor to form a relationship of trust and security. Formal advisory group meetings occur twice each week to discuss important school happenings, social events, or to have one-on-one time with a student. Faculty advisors are advocates, friends and counselors for the students at a time of life when staying connected with a caring adult is so important.

Kingsbury takes great pride in its ability to keep students involved, motivated and successful in the pre-teen years.
