Teachers live for the "aha" moments, when a light bulb goes on in a student's head and you can see that a student understands the concept. Every child is good at something. The fun part for teachers is to discover a student's strengths and use those as the framework for learning.
Kingsbury has been part of my life almost as long as I can remember. I attended school here from 2nd-8th grade. As an alumnus, I recognize the impact Kingsbury Country Day School had on my academic life and the Kingsbury Community has on my social life. As a staff member, I hope our students will have the same experience.
Kingsbury kids are special because they come from a family that cares about education and wants to be part of a dynamic community. When you're in a community of people like that, you can't help but be inspired to do your best and live up to your highest expectations. Kids leave here after 8th grade with a great deal of self-confidence because of their experiences here.
I've taught at Kingsbury since 2005 and have been a Kingsbury coach since 1995.
