Affiliations & Accreditations

Kingsbury has begun an exciting transition that will lead to becoming an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum will be instituted, giving our Kingsbury Kids a distinct advantage, both in continuing their remarkable record of acceptance into the high school that is their first choice, and in increasing their understanding and abilities to compete in this increasingly "flat" world.

Since 1975, Kingsbury has been a member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS). It is the only private school in Northern Oakland County to maintain this relationship. Kingsbury is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and of the Association of Independent Michigan Schools (AIMS).

Kingsbury enjoys an advantage in being closely involved with all three of these respected organizations. Professional education, resource libraries, online teaching tools and constant updates that are critical to academic excellence and strong extracurricular programming are all benefits of joining schools like Cranbrook Schools, Detroit Country Day, Roeper, Notre Dame Prep, Eton and the Academy of Sacred Heart as Oakland County's leaders in independent (private) schools and education.
